Getting on board the Train for Change




On behalf of the hundreds of participants in the Train for Change, receive the congratulations and acknowledgements to IFM SEI as well as Kinderfreunde and Pionyr for the success reached in the organization, meaningful and educational impact of Train for Change for the international movement and for the hundreds of young people and adults involved in it.
That success felt in the hearts and life experiences of all participants who got on board of the Train and had the chance, like in the first “Falcon Republic” in 1929, to build for two weeks a community based on friendship, solidarity, peace, diversity and cooperation ; overcoming the barriers and inequities the current world system sets.
With Train for Change we could renew and set our commitment to spread out that flame to help generate change for better in the world, I believe that if the experiences we lived here grow and expands, transmitting our motivation to our peers, in our surroundings, the beautiful dream of building a new world is possible. That change we have to pursue even in our own organizations, homes, communities and make it bigger and bigger. That’s the impact of IFM SEI work, and Train for Change for sure meant a milestone in that way for all participants.
I want to highlight the amazing work of the theme centres, such as the Rainbow Network and its wonderful, motivated and creative team, the World Economic System, Prejudices, Children’s Rights, the Media Team, and the great work of the staff and programme people. Learning about the African organizations and their beautiful people and culture, as well as learning more about the Palestine situation. Likewise, mention the stunning integration of the members of the villages. .
Millions of congratulations and thanks to IFM SEI, Kinderfreunde and Pionyr for making Train for Change an unforgettable experience and I’m sure most of us will keep identified with its principles and with the international movement as a wonderful youth organization for children and young people worldwide. Let’s make change, Let’s generate it!! We can do it!!
